About Us
Dr. Rupa Wong is an eye surgeon at the Honolulu Eye Clinic, which is located in Queen's POB 2. Though she grew up in North Carolina, her husband Dr. Jeffrey Wong (who was born and raised in Honolulu) convinced her to move to Hawaii and to take over Dr. Edwards' practice.
She attended college at Duke University,on the prestigious academic B.N. Duke leadership scholarship, graduating magna cum laude. She then attended medical school in New York at Cornell Medical College and completed her residency at New York University - Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, serving as chief resident in her final year.

In Boston, she undertook a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus (misalignment of the eyes) at Harvard, where she learned advanced techniques of Botox injections and eyelid surgery on children with lid droop. Dr. Wong originally used Botox for medical conditions such as strabismus and blepharospasm. Gradually, her patients in Hawaii began asking Dr. Wong to perform injections of Botox Cosmetic and correct their drooping eyelids. For that reason, Dr. Wong undertook specialized training and certification in the injection of Juvederm, Botox Cosmetic, Restylane, Perlane and Dysport. She also performs blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery to elevate the upper eyelids.
